About the Location
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) oversees the Colorado River corridor and almost six million acres of land. These lands are multi-use areas, and recreation enthusiasts share the land with foresters, cattle grazers and others. Camping is permitted only in designated area along the Colorado Riverway and the Sand Flats Area, near the Slickrock Trail. Toilet systems are provided in these areas and a nightly fee is charged. These lands are dedicated to all people, and it is up to each of us to be stewards.
